Andrew and Kimberly were blessed in September 2017 with the birth of Anna Grace. In her short life she has already given us so much love and joy.
After suffering prolonged seizures following her 4 and 6 month vaccinations, Anna was diagnosed with Dravet syndrome in early May 2018. While shocked and saddened by the news, we are intent to remain optimistic and focus on the reasons for hope, of which there are many.
Dravet syndrome is a rare, catastrophic, lifelong form of epilepsy that begins in the first year of life with frequent and/or prolonged seizures. Current treatment options are limited, and the constant care required for someone suffering from Dravet syndrome. It can severely impact the patient’s and the family’s quality of life.
The mission of Dravet Syndrome Foundation is to aggressively raise research funds for Dravet syndrome and related epilepsies; to increase awareness of these catastrophic conditions; and to provide support to affected individuals and families. These fundraising efforts will help with this important cause.
