Hyatt Regency Greenwich, CT
DSF Butterfly Bash, A Benefit for Dravet Syndrome Foundation, is our annual signature event where we raise funds for research while honoring an individual or group of professionals who have gone above and beyond in the field of Dravet syndrome and related epilepsies.
This year’s Masquerade Ball-themed event includes cocktails, dinner and dancing, as well as silent and live auctions. CT photo booth and Hot House will both be joining the event again this year.
We are pleased to announce that this year’s gala honoree is Mrs. Susan Axelrod. When Dravet Syndrome Foundation was born, it was due in part to the example that Susan had set. In 1998, Susan was frustrated that there were not better treatments and awareness for her daughter Lauren and for all those with epilepsy. She joined forces with other parents and founded CURE (Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy). Her passion and advocacy has paved the way for expanding research into all forms of epilepsy. In addition to honoring Mrs. Axelrod; our Spirit of Hope Awardees this year are the Ried Family from Fort Mill, SC, for their dedicated fundraising and passionate advocacy for their son Braxton and for DSF.
Tickets are $175 each. Hotel rooms at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich are now available for a reduced rate of $85 a night (plus taxes & fees). Reservations for the block must be made online before March 6, 2015.
You can be a part of this special evening by becoming a committee member, sponsor, attendee, donor, or by contributing an item to our auction. For more information contact Amanda.
